Out of the Office is a personal project started whilst shadowing for Gillespies Oxford. Since shadowing I have continued working on this project which has given me the opportunity to practice planting plans and Landscape Architecture thinking.
Strengths:
- Existing plants/furniture can be reused
- Protected against wind
- Mature existing vegetation
Weaknesses:
- Shady due to existing tree cover
- Small space
- Triangular shape
Opportunities
- Create a more engaging space
- Zoned areas
- Space to extend
Threats:
- Drainage - run off from existing mound
- Mature vegetation blocks light
Needs:
- Group dining/Activities space
- Table tennis
- Bike storage
- Private seating space
- BBQ
- Smoking area
- Bin store
- Lawn space
- Low Maintenance
- Flexible
